JD.com Upgrades Customer Service Staff Salaries and Benefits

According to a report from IT Home, JD.com announced today that it has once again upgraded the compensation and benefits for its customer service staff. Over 20,000 JD.com customer service employees will see a significant increase in their monthly fixed wages, achieving an average salary increase equivalent to two months of pay for all staff. This follows an average salary increase of 30% for all JD.com customer service staff in February of this year, marking another substantial pay raise.
Regarding additional benefits, JD.com customer service personnel have been granted new health benefits, including commercial supplementary medical insurance, upgraded standards and frequency of welfare health checks, increased housing subsidies for some workplaces, overtime meal benefits, and improved workplace welfare.


JD.com officials stated that since the establishment of its centralized customer service center in 2009, the company has invested over 30 billion yuan in customer service. IT Home, upon reviewing JD.com’s financial reports, learned that JD.com’s revenue in the third quarter of 2024 reached 260.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%; the net profit attributable to the company’s ordinary shareholders for the quarter was 11.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 47.8%. Furthermore, JD.com’s operating costs increased by 3.1% from 208.9 billion yuan in the third quarter of 2023 to 215.3 billion yuan in the third quarter of this year.
